soviets attacking poland too. I thought they moved in after Germany took over
nope half way in they launched a surprise attack breaking Poland's defensive fall back line at the Romanian Bridge Head were they were to be resupplied with British arms and volunteer soldiers. If the Soviets didn't attack as planed Poland would have held out for months longer essentially using a scorched earth tactic to bog the Germans down while France and Britain mobilized and attacked Germany's practically defenseless borders from the West.
