You're correct. The 'K' has the sights.
G36C is the shortened version with iron sights. G36K is the normal version with iron. G36KE is short with scope. I think all this is correct.

G36K and G36KV has the trademark G36 handle/scope sight

talking to Hecker & Koch dealers/specialists, the AG36 is the misson specific 40mm grenade launcher attachment to te g36 family. Otherwise the g36 variant with the ag36 is called theG36+A36. Look it up before posting wrong information fenneck
