Modern Warfare Mod brings World in Conflict from the Cold War into the Modern Age. It also ups the ante on realism and authenticity in every role – Infantry, Armor, Support and Air, while trying our best to keep everything relatively balanced for fun and interesting gameplay.
The creator is either active/retired US Air Force, or a super nerd that loves to read Jane's unclassified manuals. This mod is so incredibly intense and more in-depth than any non-simulator program.
This mod puts you in the seat of a combatant commander at the operational level and gives you a pretty in-depth look at combined arms warfare in the modern realm. The creators threw in a whole slew of new mechanics, as well as new units, many of which are very in-depth and are difficult to learn how to effectively use on the battlefield.
My personal favorite new mechanics include using JTACs to call for CAS (of course I'm biased) and using the many new air defense systems to lay waste to the adversary's aircraft and missile attacks.
And, on top of all this, the creator threw in a bunch of new maps and a pretty baller soundtrack. You can't ask for much more than this, guys.
The only thing I wish was added was a manual that describes each unit and how the play with everyone else. Luckily, there are a few tutorials on this moddb page, without which you will be totally clueless.
To the creators. You've been working on this game for so many years, and I congratulate you on your achievement, and for still sticking around to talk to your fans. Thank you very much.
