Wars of the North is a vanilla friendly mod for ROTWK patch 2.02 wichs add Rohan and Arnor into the game and restore many cut features. Changes for the existing factions are also part of the project. 1 new gametypes are also playable: Classic BFME1 (Multiplayer Only) 1 new campaign: Arnor Campaign, replacing the Epilogue Many bug fixes are also included, I have gone through almost all files to fix all the errors, minor or major, i could find to give you the best experience possible.
It has been a long time but here is a new version for 2023: what's new ? A totally new campaign for Arnor that i made with my friend and bfme1 mapper Toinou A new option to enable shroud and play without power points (replacing 8x and 100x CP options) A reworked balance aimed for faster gameplay, taking the best of bfme2 and rotwk A new unit for Dwarves, Zealots (tier 2 swordsmen) More bugfixes as always :) Enjoy UPDATE: Campaign is now fully translated in english ! UPDATE 2: Ents have been reworked (Added ent ash, moved regular ents and treebeard to higher levels), Grond now have some archers on him, Fix for the rivendell mission (sometime some units got stuck wich caused issues)

I can't unlock epilogue button by default you need to complete angmar campaign (wich was improved and made harder in the mod)
by the way if the mod is working the epilogue button should display ARNOR CAMPAIGN

You should just havesome updates to the "art" part of it maybe, than it could be a very awesome mod cause gameplaywise it think it is enjoyable ;)
Thx i still want to stay close to the vanilla look but i did improved some of the graphics
However yes it would be great to have some improvements for exemple on some arnor icons
maybe that will come one day

I just finished Angmar Campaign,
And started Arnor, I'm insterested in that one too hopefully it will not be that hard XD
The only thing that puts me off playing is the removal of mini hero hordes. Don't see the point.
The mini heroes hordes just feel out of place in the game for me
they are hard to balance between regular units and heroes
and often are just lame and overused (KODA, black riders) or not rly used (zealots only good in mirror and in some specific cases, same for deathbringers)
some also just don't bring anything new to the faction gameplay-wise (eg deathbringer just being a horde of berserker sligtly stronger or elves having noldor when they already have mirkwood, or even drake brood being a mini version of the fort drake...)
it was just a lazy concept made by EA that i never liked wich is why i decided to remove it (+ Angmar never got a mini hero horde so it was not even consistent)

The Mission after the defense with Arveleg, When I need to defend my fortress it's just too hard, I don't know guys, Do you play these maps before you release it ? cause I just cannot keep up with units neither with resources, the enemy is spamming too hard ...
Ye we played it before, it's one of the hardest
if u still can't pass it ill send u a save
Even with cavalry it is not possible to do I tried it like 6 times ...

Does the AI work properly for Arnor and Rohan in skirmish battles? Also is this mod compatible with war of the ring gameplay?
This is fully compatible with War of the Ring yes, it was even improved
Arnor and Rohan does work in skirmishes but not on all maps yet (since each maps need to be edited one by one i didn't did it fully yet) (all maps used by war of the ring are already covered)

Rework of ents (Addition of Melee Ent Ash, moved regular ents and treebeard to higher level of the moot)
Restored archers on Grond
Fix one bug on the Rivendell mission (unit getting stuck, preventing to end the wave)

It was looking great until in the easy mode of the campaign of Angmar, in the Amon Sul mission, almost I have started building my stuff, the Prince come and back again with a outstanding army to destroy everything and puff. IN THE EASY CHOICE IN THE BEGGINING OF THE MAP. WHAAATTT. Anyway, another mod like others already existing, besides the campaign that just have hardcore mode.
