Currently in Early Production. This mod will feature 11 Races. (If possible), With subraces, if time and skill permits. Each race will incorporate a vast navy and army, including all land units from the appropriate Warhammer 40k codexes, (This will be a close to codex mod), and a mixed array of navy units ranging from small fighters to Battlecruisers, with units unique to each race. Each race will also feature its own buildings, to be similar to those from the Dawn of War series, along with their own heroes and weaponsets. The Starmap for EAW will be completely replaced by a WH40k starmap, along with new planet mapping to reflect the WH40k scenery, and hopefully new User interfaces.

I am sorry for being a ****, but such design is not very efficient for a warship. (yes, I'm aware that this is SF setting)

Thanks for the comment :), While you are correct if it were in atmos there is no need for an efficient design in the void of space, Borg cube anyone ?

Plus the chaos ships look DAMN EVIL :D.

P.S. Yeah I'm a Chaos BFG Player.

P.P.S I didnt pick the design either :P.

Ivan, just have a look at any Star wars/Star Trek/Stargate/Starsystem ship, and see how aerodynamic they are ! ;)
Simply because, in space, there isn't any air ! So a spaceship doesn't care about being aerodynamic ! Even the ISS or the real shuttle aren't aerodynamic.

Oh, before I forget : Do you plan to have land combat in the final release ? IF so, have you made a realistic close combat system (like in Dawn of War) ?

As I'm only doing ship models you may need to put this on the front page or direct to Leanden as I have NO idea :P.

The final release will indeed have land combat, but this is coming second after the space combat element, We will be using the standard SW:EAW combat system with some small modifications and obviously balancing between the units.

I'm not 100% on the sizes myself but there have been attempts and references made to ship sizes in the books ect.

The-first-magelord.deviantart.com

Is a good example it would likely sit between the largest two ships there.

The Styx itself is about 3rd in scale to the Planet killer and the GRand Cruisers (off the top of my head).

Description

This is the Styx Heavy cruiser, Yes I finished the launch bays just now and put this together, as such we can do every combination for the Cruisers/Heavy Cruisers now :D.

Closking in at 10112 faces I'm not to sure I can get it under 10000 without loosing the receses in the entrances to the bays.

Either way comments please as I'm getting sick of looking at this cruiser now :P.

P.S Just the alternative bridge section to go and some small details.

P.P.S As such this should be the last picture unless I do a big montage of all the configurations at some point :D.
