This is actually going to be a page for all my little fun bits I make that aren't really worth their own standalone releases because they're so small. Enjoy the menu! (P.S. Thanks to Kralich for doing my in-game photography!)

What Can You Order Together?

Client Side Coding Tutorial

Hey there, it's Waddlez!

Now that I have a few mods on the page, I think now is a better time than ever to start explaining how mods can and can't be applied over one another.

I have several categories in mind for these mods, all describing their types and the changes they make:

  • Graphic Swaps
  • Tweakers
  • Breakers
  • Audio Mods
  • Arsenal

Let's go over these one by one.

Graphic Swaps are mods that alter how enemies and players look. Pretty simple. Often, these mods are included in other mods by way of replacement textures (for example, my Breaker mods in progress have altered weapon textures to show their power!) These mods are compatible with everything, and I mean that word. The only things they're not compatible with are texture changes that apply to the same character. See Gaming Rahkshi below.

Tweakers are mods that slightly alter and rebalance weaponry, character stats, or various other attributes to make the game a little less annoying. Some mods are intended to make the game or a particular character stronger, but others are instead supposed to make them weaker. Kongu and Nuparu in particular are commonly regarded as "the only Toa you'll ever need," aside from Hewkii to open constractions. One Tweaker might give everyone Hewkii's constraction power, but another might nerf both Kongu and Nuparu to bring another character to the surface. These mods vary in compatibility, as the current method of editing the things specified above involves editing the CFGC file, which is just one file that you can't pick and choose parts from easily. Generally, assume Tweakers are incompatible with other mods that edit the CFGC unless otherwise specified.

Breakers are the fun mods that have a major effect on gameplay, typically in the player's favor. They're the incredible mods that make Nuparu shoot off infinite bombs (that's coming, yes!) and the ones that also give you infinite armor. However, they can also be the ones that give you less armor, the ones that make the Bohrok turn into speed demons, and anything and everything else. These changes all come from the CFGC, so don't expect to apply other mods on top of these.

Audio Mods are mods that change sound effects and music. Like Graphic Swaps, very simple. These mods are compatible with any mod that doesn't edit the same or any sound, so they're generally mods that you can apply lots of.

Arsenal mods give the player access to new weaponry - or at least, modified weapons. They tend to not exactly be Breakers, but they're bigger than simple Tweakers. Like both, however, these also edit the CFGC and are incompatible with other mods that do so.

So that's a mod type overview. Please note that when I describe mods as "sweet treats" or "spicy specials" that has nothing to do with the mods and everything to do with the theme of a menu description in a restaurant. That said, bon appetit! <3

(P.S. I think there's supposed to be an accented character in "bon appetit" that isn't on my keyboard, so L on my part.)

This mod converts Jaller's weapon into a flamethrower tool - much more fitting for a Toa of Fire, yes? This is a simple tweak to the game, barely scratching...
