Warcraft: Armies of Azeroth is the Starcraft II based remake of Warcraft III,which adds some new gameplay features,but saves original balance and graphical design with massive use of resources from other games created by Blizzard Entertainment.
I almost always start with the palladon, you get a healer and an armor booster that's incredibly useful. Same with the shadow hunter an even better healer plus he cab provide support and distraction with the snake traps.

By the way we've seen successful league games with Shadow Hunter. But first pally is realy rare and often leads to defeat.
Honestly, no Human starts with Pally and no Orc starts with Shadow Hunter... It's just not viable. XD

Just because it's "meta" to start with a Wizard and/or Blade Master, doesn't mean other heroes are not viable at the start...
