This mod i perfect, but i can install thath mod with sami can i install any other way??? Please help i love this mod!!!
hmm well if u dont want to install with sami it requires some more time consuming actions to install. But the way I set up the mod folder, its easy. Copy and paste the audio, models, data, movies, text, and cleo folders into the gta san andreas directory, say yes to all questions windows asks. Now, copy and past the gta_sa.exe, vorbis.dll, vorbisfile.dll, vorbishooked.dll, cleo.asi, vehiclespecialabilities.asi, and VSAConfig into the gta san andreas directory. Now use an IMG tool to open gta3.img in the models folder of your gta san andreas directory, once open, import all the cars in the 'Cars' folder and sub-folders, be sure to go through all of the folders and import all the cars (dff and txd). I think thats it, but to be safe, make sure u back up everything before u do this manual install. Have fun!

I have a problem, after install, the mod runs until i start a new game, then it restores to windows. But i erase the script "offroad" and then it works??!!! Any idea about this problem, 5dmc1? because for play i can't transform the defender into offroad mode.
What's with this window restore thing???? Do like I told the other guy, install a fresh San Andreas and install it to that by clicking the browse button under the 'select SA Directory' Dialogue box, its the dialogue box that usually displays the default C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas above the location of the mod file's location.

Thats really really weird! I have never heard of that happening with San Andreas at all! My advice would be to install another copy of San Andreas onto the computer that hasn't been changed at all, then install the mod, then no interference should happen like this. If it still happens after that, let me know.

5dmc1, the game now works fine, but while reinstalling the mod it seems that "rocket.cs" is the reason why the game restores back to windows. I don't know if its the same for the others but thats what i found out with my problem.
seems the people who this is happening to, their computers think that the cleo scripts are messing with the games, damn I hate computers, but rocket.cs isnt an important weapon, it only works on the Prototype A-76, so if its causing trouble, delete it.

Hello 5dmc1, I just wanted to say that I had one of these errors myself while trying to install the Viper Mod 0.1b over a clean install of San Andreas. However I wanted to tell everybody about an easy solution to install the Viper Mod. The error that I got was that SAMI tried to install the mod and Error 414 popped up in a Windows dialog box and told me that cleo script .asi could not be read or whatever, and the mod would "NOT be installed" to avoid messing up the game. Well, what I did to fix this, was created an empty folder on my desktop named "Viper Mod 01b", and dragged/extracted all the contents of the ZIP file into that folder. Then I restarted SAMI and when it asked me where the mod was located, I clicked the "Folder" button instead of the "ZIP or RAR file" button, and browsed to the folder on my desktop instead of the ZIP file. This time the mod installed perfectly! Hope that helps people. Try that if you're having trouble.

how i can play with this airplane from video GTA SA: The VIPER Mod Probe
That is the problem, Rafalema made the probe and he was away for the weekend, I will either have him post it separate as an addon, or it will be released as part of the February parts pack.

I have tired to install this. I installs just fine with sami, but when I try and load the game it crashes.

I have tired that many of times, I have v1 of the game, I'm also running windows 7 if the matters
Will I have went back to xp. I can run the mod but when ever I get into the viper it crashes on me.
hmm, we dont have experience with this. windows seven is too new, and switching back and forth can really mess up a computer, so I dont know how to help you, I am sorry.

download and install San Andreas Mod Installer then you use the .sami install file I provided in the mod's folder.

U cannot, u can only use vigilante missions in the vipers or police cars, just press 5 on the numpad.

My game keeps crashing on start up i get past the intro movie the menu main appears and then the game stops working.I installed the mod using your manual installation instructions in the top of this page.

this happens, sometimes people download a bad copy, delete that copy of the mod and download it again, then tell me if it still gives u problems.
I repaired my game game now works fine and no restores to windows.

Does anyone know what cleo.asi file for. When i delete it the game works fine but when i get into the viper it crashes.
that is because cleo.asi is needed for any of the cleo script to work, by getting into the viper which has cleo scripts set to it, the game cant access them and crashes.

Really? That is odd, but did you install the mod onto a fresh install of SA? Glitches only occur when it is not installed on a fresh install of SA.
By fresh install, I mean recently installed, with no mods what so ever.

Hi 5dmc1, I've got your viper mod 0.1b running on Windows 7 and so far so good, no crashes. This is only the first time I'm playing GTA and it's also because of your wonderful mod. Since I'm new, I don't know what I'm supposed to do when I'm in the new game, i.e. I saw two cars parked, got into the one of it which is the viper and drove around the city..... and lost.... Do you've any mission guide or game briefing? May I also ask what is this "press #2 to go into vigilante mission"??? Btw, I'm using a laptop for GTA and when I press #2 nothing seems to happen while inside the viper :( Anyway, thanks for this wonderful mod.
hello everyone, I have a huge problem, I installed the mod, every time I got into the viper, the game was planting, I uninstalled the mod, I uninstalled GTA, but every time I and reinstalls that I open the game, the mod viper is still there, what can I do? help me
It's because you left some folders, that remained untouched. You must go to the main folder of the game (by default: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas, or so) and remove (delete) all of the folders you find there, because the uninstalator itself does not remove mods and so on. Then the mod will be gone for good, unless you instal another one.
So first uninstal the game, then delete the remaining folders of the mod in the main location of the game, then reinstal the game anew. And now you have a clean game of San Andreas, ready to bring another mod to it, or just playing it without any mod.
