What I have been doing with Last Stand. My reason for those change and what to be expected in the future.

Hello there, folks! It's LemonTree, the Head Dev behind Amalgamator and current active dev in Last Stand. I'm thrilled to give you a sneak peek into the latest updates on Last Stand.

Starting off, there has been an increase in economy. In the current state the game starts off a bit slow, and I have made an effort to offset this by distributing them more evenly among early waves.

We've also implemented a new system to ensure that our heroes don't become too overpowered. By making sure that their research costs remain consistent, we're leveling the playing field and ensuring that no one hero becomes too dominant

This will be the new progress starting from wave 1 to 10, and assuming that hunter mode resources are distributed evenly (They don’t).

However, this will still leave them with a fair bit of extra resource,which brings us to the next point: Ability Research.

One of the problems with Last Stand is the heroes don't have a lot of replay value.They are usually given 10 wargear, along with some minor research and that’s it. Therefore, I have opted to make a system that will hopefully allow for more varieties.

The system will work similarly to Necron Artefact, where you can pick 3 research from 8 or more researches.You can access the building by clicking on the added button right below research button. I’m looking forward to seeing how it will play out in the future.

That brings us to our next point, what had been done aside from the new systems. The answer is i have slowly and steady adding thing to current rosters.Here is all the unit that i touch on, alongside with their newly research, completely vague and up to speculation,

Now, move on to the future, I am working toward the remaining roster, and will probably add some new heroes from the non vanilla race.Chapter Master is a popular demand, but to keep it real to you guys, they are not the most interesting one . I would prefer adding a unit that has already got a lot of research (such as TS Wizard Lord) than making a new one for them, which I do not have a lot of knowledge about. Same goes for other popular but linear unit.

On another aspect, enemy waves are a much easier task, and I have been steadily making progress on that front. So there should be a lot of races to fight against in Last Stand.

Nice to see progress on this mode, i want to also ask you to please include the heralds of each god, they have a lot of wargear that can be taken from tabletop and easily be translated into gameplay

I don't know how feasible it would be, but seeing the currently available Primarchs as OP just-for-fun heroes in Last Stand would be awesome

I understand where you coming from, but that wouldn't be fun, for both me and the player.

Kharn is my first challenge when it come to adding OP heroes into Last Stand. I had opt to make him weaker than the skirmish version, then adding several research that slowly increase his strength him to the original.

This works, but on of the downside is the Kharn is a bit bland atm, due to the fact that his research doesn't really do any cool stuff other than health/damage/etc increase.

Couple this with the fact that I am not very well verse in Primarchs and the like. I had decided to not adding them atm, and instead cherry picking unit that already have a lot of thing going for them.

If you have any idea how to deal with this issue tho, feel free to express.

Great news!
Could you also rework the AI so that they actually play instead of just standing? It's hard for me to find someone who is interested in this mode and also lives in the same timezone as mine :D.

Hello there.
In term of AI, I don't think it is possible. I will have to write the entire AI of everything to make it work.

Perhaps you can try looking for group in the Discord, or seduce your friend to play Last Stand with you
