SWAT goes deep into the house through a glass door (disguised as a mirror) to train, where they get to the underground laboratory. It turns out that the train took them to the "ant hill" - the secret laboratory corporation «Umbrella», situated near the town of Raccoon City, which conducted the study of viruses. Getting to the quarters, "Red Queen", the special forces disable it. As a result, all the closed doors were opened to release the entire indoctrinate personnel. Zombie attack survivors and if one of them is bitten, it has a few minutes to find and enter an antidote, otherwise a member of the command dies ... The game is presented in survival mode, ie players must escape of zombies as they can, core of the game relies on multiplayer.

Well you DO know greenlight is now casting a fee of 100 dollars for the game/mod. So if it's that much now its best to do it, NOW, before valve gets the idea of raising the price.

The 100$ is definitely really ****** for quality mods (well, judging by screenshots). Maybe if you e-mail Valve, explain in great detail why you should deserve a spot on greenlight, they might give you a free pass, since, you know, the people that submit the mod aren't getting paid a dime. You also probably first need to be like 90% done and have bunch of cool stuff to show off.

100$ is good to keep bad submissions off. Steam Greenlight originally wasn't designed for mods, but Indie developers.

100$ all goes to charity as well. If you don't think the publicity is worth 100$, then simply don't pay.

LoL. I doubt the email would work.

But I do agree that the mod should be atleast in beta (maybe alpha?) before it goes on greenlight.

I would actually recommend that if you do consider Steam Greenlight, that you change the name, the models and sounds (unless if you got permission to use them in the first place, I noticed that you used CS:S skins). Because if you don't, Capcom and the creators of the content are going to have a bitch fit and you guys could end up is some serious doodoo.

And by name, I actually mean everything about it, like the story, settings, characters, ect. basically making no references to Resident Evil at all, I know this might be hard for you, but if you don't change it, you could end up in serious trouble.

I think that the big issue with Steam Greenlight and this is that it most likely wouldn't get past the rules and restrictions. Resident Evil is a name and property of Capcom. Its fine to make this free mod that tributes/barrows things but most likely Valve would remove it unless the creators of "Umbrella Corporation" get written documentation that the have been give permission to use names, images, ect. associated with there copyright and trademark.
Steam Greenlight is professorial distribution and this is what Capcom would mostly likely have and issue with.
Contact Capcom and see what they think.

1) Hey there.
2) I don't Black Mesa Source. Maybe a bit... Oh, well, sometimes I black mesa source when I'm all alone and *****...
oh, wrong story...
3) Yeap, you can try. You need some publicity.

and people should stop talking about rights and stuff - they are NOT selling nor stealing. So the MOST HORRIFIC thing that could happen - Valve reject dem. End of story. Actually this mod is promoting both valve's stuff and capcom's stuff. For free.

You are taking copyright way too lightly. People are not allowed use copyrighted material even if they don't benefit monetarily directly from it. When you enter Greenlight, you don't go by the common sense or by what you think, you go by the black and white.

Companies like Capcom are no toddlers in the business world and I would expect them to protect their brand and trademarks were any of these pitiful RE mods ever actually going to strive for publicity and get recognition (such as Greenlight). I don't think Capcom's latest RE games have been that good but I seriously doubt they want to risk the public confusing a mod some hobbyist hacked together with their commercial products they spend huge amounts of money on. The same goes for pretty much any field of business world.

EXACTLY..... It's basically an advertisment for the Resident Evil series. And Capcom didn't have to spend a single penny on it.
