Damn I didn't really think of that, I've found so many photos of the armed forces and special units that I forgot that they're not a fan of publicity... especially alfa.. though it strikes me as odd that they have a website which explains what they do in detail and who runs the operations!
Bratishka.ru was one of the first sites I looked at when gathering references, very good resource! I've not seen the other links so I'll check them out, thanks again!
Hi, do you have any really good largish pictures of spetsnaz and armed forces in general? I've done many searches on google.ru for спецназ, русский спецназ, альфа спецназ etc but the images found aren't usually any bigger than 800x600... If you've got the original image you used for the CO labs banner that would be great too (don't worry if I did use it, it wouldn't be in the same way).
Thanks.
Thankyou very much for those photos, they will come in handy :)
Btw.. is there a name for these types of concrete fences like the one in the background of image "x_0a7be7a1"? (with the diamond like patterns carved into them).
Ahh, it's very good- nice work!
Btw where is the background from on the CO labs page? The Spetsnaz looks like a 3D model.
Any photos are helpful :)
Special police army huh? МВД? You one of the formiddable OMOH boys? lol
Хех, спасибо :)
He's missing out, it's an invaluable reference for spetsnaz! I wrote a review of it on the mod page, maybe show him and convince him :D
Awesome! If you have some photos of your time in the army that would be very very useful!
The map looks ok so far.. the problem for me with source mods is the lack of custom content.. it is much harder to produce custom props and things for HL2 than it is HL1 which is why I prefer to work with the former. I am sometimes put off by mods for Source because of this, with some new custom textures the map will have a life of it's own :)
Thank you, I appreciate all help I can get! I'm making a horror mod which is set in Russia, and use a lot of real life references from flickr and other places so it helps me to be able to know what some things are in Russian. I know several people who can translate but it's better for me to learn.. or try to.
Btw you are working on CO labatories? I didn't mean any offence with my comment, I just thought the storyline was similar to Paranoia (bunker with spetsnaz) but I am interested in it.. I love pretty much any game with Russian army or police forces in it!
Bah hanks for pointing out my translation fail on the CO lab page :P I'm trying to learn your alphabet, but it's so different to latin, it hurts my head D:
