Twisted Insurrection is a critically acclaimed, standalone modification based on the Command & Conquer™ Tiberian Sun™ engine. It features a complete redesign of the original game, set in an alternate "what-if?" timeline where the Brotherhood of Nod was victorious during the first Tiberian War. Do you have what it takes to drag the shattered Global Defense Initiative out of ruin? Or will you crush all who oppose the will of Kane and his Inner Circle? The choice is yours commander.
As requested by the players, Unholy Alliance will also be a game-mode in the next update.
For those of you unfamiliar, Unholy Alliance is the mode where you are able to construct technology and weapons from both factions, GDI and Nod.
Current set of game modes are the following:
Default / Deathmatch
Twisted Dawn
Meat Grinder
Unholy Alliance
Ultimate Insurrection
Survival
This mode sounds eerily familiar... :p
How about Ultimate Alliance aka Unholy Isurrection? Just kidding :)
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe.
would the A.I. be able to use it properly? or would it just use one factions stuff?
The A.I. does make use of both factions technology, not to the extent that players would, but they do pick and chose certain structures and units.
I suck at logging in.
i dont know how you make a guest comment, when i havnt signed in it asks me to, rather than post what i wrote. thanks for the answer anywho
This gamemode has never turned out as fun as I hoped, at least not when using it in RA2.
Personally, I think I'd prefer a tech shuffle where different units and structures of specific tiers/roles get swapped between their respective factions' tech trees. Not presuming this is possible, just making a pitch.
a red alert 1 map did that, "lunar battlefield" tho the weapons were also changed so yaks dropped para bombs, mammoths fired cruiser shells and apache helicopter fired v2 rockets. i think it was a counterstrike mission that did this aswell where mammoths fired duel flame throwers and heavies fired tesla. but this is a bit beyond what your talking about i think.
Unholy Alliance isn't something I personally enjoy either, but being a heavily requested feature, I see no harm in adding it into the mix.
