Howdy do. This is the page dedicated to my upcoming, untitled Left 4 Dead 2 campaign. This page will be filled out more once I find the time to make the graphics and find the energy to think of a proper title.
Current levels, as listed in chaos:
I'm honestly not the person to make and [un]title showcase pages prior to my work being finished but hopefully I could build and maintain the spirit of periodically updating and showing my work in progress for pre-release criticism on this page.
An inebriated description of the plot which I once posted on a message board:
Myself wrote: [The campaign begins in a dream sequence on an airplane which you leap out of to introduce the office rooftop.] You start on an office rooftop and try to beat the lowering sun to the car park because you saw headlights near it's exit. After crashing down the office elevator to the bottom of the garage the map loads and there's a second dream sequence. Then you fight your way back up over multiple levels and grab the car, another dream sequence. In the next map, you need to get out of the car because you reached a quarantine roadblock on a freeway overpass and the sun is lowering, then cross through some bushes by an apartment block (but not in) and into the mall parking lot (with a huge Macy's logo on the huge mall building) which has been turned into a quarantine stabilization camp. You fight around the neighborhood of clear plastic tents and into the mall. You escape the mall somehow -- something I haven't started -- probably through a sewer hole after finding an exit in an underground flood room near a maintenance area. Then you're on a trendy street full of trendy bullshit yogurt and coffee shops and as you're walking down the strip you see a nuke go off behind one of those fucking yogurt shops. Then you have 15-30 seconds to find a place to hide and bolt closed while fighting a flood of blinded zombies. The dream sequences are supposed to be between every map but I may just have it for the only intro and then use loading screens after that since I've got some kick-ass loading screens involving scribbled notebook paper about what happened during the short map transitions and Poloroids spilled over concrete. All of this is well over half-way completed so it should be cool.
Hey, guys, just a quick post -- I'm requesting some help with static meshes for world props like furniture and facade buildings. I've already made the models myself but it would be fantastic if there's someone out there who could remake them for optimization and for skinning. I haven't updated this page in forever but the campaign is still awesome and underway. Help make this the best campaign to hit the net and lend a hand! ;)
