The mod is pretty much Classic Battletech but put into more of TA's scale of battle. it supposed to feel and emulate most of the classic battle tech universe yet still be a fun rts like TA, with the obvious restrictions of the TA engine. Right now it is in beta testing phase, and there are 2 factions. inner sphere and clan, 2 tiers light and medium. The last tier is being worked on now which which will have the heavies and assault class mechs, vehicles, and air support. It will probably be included in the next release. After its release I will probably fill in a few holes with some more units to help game play and balance.

The spring engine project to port the last version to spring's format is currently on hold, and I have been informed that there is another team working on a BT mod for spring so don't worry.

Today I finally got around to releasing a No-CD exe version for the mod that you can get in the download section. It will not work unless you have a legitimate copy of Total Annihilation installed and patched with the 3.1 official Cavedog patch. So I hope that helps the gamers that were hoping for the no cd version.

Also if I have time and there is later in spring of 2010 then I might do one last release with a finalized bug fix/ balance, and unit addition.

Currently we are accepting open requests for Battletech units fans would like to see in this last release, but there is no guarantee that it can be done. I would like to see about a dozen more new units in the last release, so let see your ideas.
