I know who you're talking about. What's the problem? She was in the movies and the mod is based on the movies. What are you suggesting us, to count all inventions of the movies and delete them?
Even if the movies are your base for the mod story and characters (why would you do that?), it would be a no-brainer to delete the objectively worst content like Tauriel. It's not as if the books don't have enough content that can fill any void.
Yes, you have a point but there's simply no more known Mirkwood elves from the movies. I hate Tauriel love line with Kili, i hate dwarven goats and many-many things from Hobbit, it even took some time for me to get used to elven armors from there. I think Tauriel herself is OK as long as there's no dwarf lover hiding under her bed.
and what if there is a dwarf (: then you get Hobbits lol
