5 years have passed since the rapture of Kane and the bulk of Nod to heavens. But the part of the Brotherhood willing to return Kane on Earth remains. They have intercepted intelligence data that in the abandoned military base in Nevada, USA, exists a time machine. The scientist of the Brotherhood depart there and turn on the time machine. Initially intending to arrive in the First Tiberium war they create a new branch of reality due to miscalculations of the Brotherhood's scientists. In this new timeline both the GDI and the Brotherhood arrive in 1970, one year before the Soviet invasion to USA. The Soviets use the arrival of the First Tiberium War armies and the following upheaval in USA to their advantage and start their Red invasion earlier.
