"War... War never changes. The reasons why we fight these wars remain much the same; some are fought to conquer, for religious and ideological beliefs, other wars are fought over gold, oil, spices – natural resources and money. Power is the key element. This war is no different - except there's nothing natural about Tiberium. The year is 1995 and we have just begun to open up our eyes to view a brave new future, some will come to say it's a horrific future. It is the Dawn of the Tiberian future." --- Tiberian Dawn is a total-conversion for the game Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars. Our goal is to bring C&C1;to a new engine, with enhanced features and graphics while also bringing back much of the classic style of gameplay while not taking steps back from what C&C3;implemented in the series as gameplay features. This is not of course our only goal - the idea of the total-conversion was inspired by an art piece by Godwin that showed the cruelty and bitter humanity of...

Dimitri created the concept :)

here it is:
Moddb.com

The ingame version was very plain (hand on a box) which is what motivated us to enhance the model.

Very nice. I´m wondering a bit about its size though, judging by the entrance it´s huge.

Whilst thats true, I agree with chris... I dont see why the HON couldn't be made like the original despite 'detail', they could go for a Renegade styled HON. Although this is a lovley model in it's self, its not like the original and kinda makes me feel uncomfortable looking at it...

But yeah its your mod you decisions....

Out of curiosity, how does the Renegade version look more like the original?

*The hand is no longer carved out of a stone spire
*The structure is long and straight, instead of the classic L-shape, the hand at the intersection
*The entrance shape is quite different
*The original did not have the helipad (or whatever that is on the roof)

On the other hand, we have retained all of these similarities with the original, in our version.

Um I didnt say it looked like the renegade model... If you read what I wrote I said "they could go for a Renegade styled HON" for more detail. But this isnt really working for the HON I dont think... But what the heck :P

even better than the original Sprites, I must say!

to be honest, I was dissapointed with the original TD Hand of Nod when I first played.

In the origonal, it's a hand carved out of a rock with 2 doors. So, it's not actually a building, which WAS strange, but interesting for the time. If I was ever making a mod (and I wouldnt be, lol) I'd probly change it, this looks nice but maybe it should be more sturdy? this is one of the lowest tech buildings in the game remember guys, and though it shows up in some high tech places (advanced nod bases) it's also a simple recrutment area for Nod. But, overall, I like it, and wouldn't mind seeing it in the finished product.

I like this model as well but in keeping with the old while keeping some detail i'd say renegade HoN would be the logical choice in it's an update of the original during the same era

Description

The cliche'd Barracks for the Brotherhood of Nod is a solemn reminder of Nod's thirst for domination. A giant arm holding a globe is seemingly carved out of a granite formation, with the structure built around it. This model was based on concept by Dimitri, and built by DamageINC.
