Looks more like a brush than a model to me.
Honestly like 99% of everything i make is with brushes, importing custom models is too much hassle and I'm not that great at making things look good anyway, so why not?
You can have much more detail with custom models and you really need them for your mod to look good.
Still trying to figure out how exactly to do custom models in a mod, any ideas to help?
Yes. You could get a student license for 3ds max and use a addon called Wall Worm to export into source mdl files which are put into your models folder for your mod. I would watch this to get started: Youtu.be
