I think a variety in texture could be very useful here, the space feels really bland and dark.

Aperture never uses those lamps in test chambers, even in old Aperture. They only use them in the lobbies, earlier ones specifically. Also I might suggest adding a sort of different field/fizzler-like thing where your world portals are to make it more clear to the player.

Description

A segment of map utilising the Reality Displacement Matrix, no hint as to what it does, but you can take a guess :)
Playing around with a very bare-bones approach, like Aperture is finally trying to be very modern and Portal-1-esque chambers are cropping up, but still using the old furniture.
