Theta is a mod set around an alternate 1970s Aperture, they've diversified their stock, struck rich on minerals mined from deep below the salt mines, and are dominating all forms of research, from human to animal to the metaphysics of the universe; if there's a question, Aperture Innovators will solve it! And you, a simple file clerk, have should have no influence over anything. In a perfect world that is...
A segment of map utilising the Reality Displacement Matrix, no hint as to what it does, but you can take a guess :)
Playing around with a very bare-bones approach, like Aperture is finally trying to be very modern and Portal-1-esque chambers are cropping up, but still using the old furniture.
I think a variety in texture could be very useful here, the space feels really bland and dark.
Thanks for the comment! I wasn't really sure how to balance the bare-bones feel with an interesting look, will do! :D
Aperture never uses those lamps in test chambers, even in old Aperture. They only use them in the lobbies, earlier ones specifically. Also I might suggest adding a sort of different field/fizzler-like thing where your world portals are to make it more clear to the player.
Thanks! I'm still figuring my way around making the lighting props look more Old-Aperture.
Good idea to use a more obvious visual ques for the world-portals :D
this looks good since you JUST started
