In the bloody engagement, the 501st lost an entire battalion, entirely composed of veteran troops from the clone wars and Operation: Knightfall.
The Firefox is quite basically a retrofitted Hammerhead-class cruiser, a type of warship used by the Republic Navy during the Old Sith Wars, the Mandalorian Wars, and the New Sith Wars. While clearly obsolete as a cruiser, its armament of four Turbo pulse blaster batteries, point-defense laser cannons and its ability to carry a full squadron of Aurek tactical strike fighters, makes them very deadly and versatile frigates for their size.
