The Russian Front is a total conversion of RTCW, aiming to bring a highly realistic slant to the base game, covering the fighting on the Russian Front 1941-45. The mod will include both an MP game as well as a series of SP missions, reflecting the near-4-years spent in the Red Army by one Misha Novikov. This isn't rabid "special forces" - it is core infantry combat at its most gruelling - the terrifying slaughter that was the Russian Front from the opening of Operation Barbarossa in July 1941, through to the closing scenes in Berlin, almost 4 years later. The mod will, of course, feature the core weaponry used by the German and Soviet forces, plus introducing the other nationalities that fought on the Russian Front.
This shot is from one of our MP maps - "The
Tank Factory". It is, of course :), modelled
on a real-world factory of the period. It will
form part of a series based on a number of
locations in Stalingrad.
