So I thought of something the other day. Why the hell hasn't anyone done a high quality SKS? I've seen them in Misery and a few other mods, but there are fairly low res.
Between the Soviet models and knockoffs, there were over 15,000,000 build and they are dirt cheap. Of Coarse they would be in the zone.
I've added a AK style mount to the side of the rifle, its apparently a fairly common modification. Since it has the mount, it will take all the eastern scopes I'm adding. I don't know how useful and SKS will be with a kobra site, but the option will be there.

I mean, only the good looking SKS you'll see in STALKER is the one in Arsenal Overhaul for CoP.
It's Type 68 in AO
I sorta started out with the Type 63/68 from OWR 2. Externally the Chinese rifle and SKS are pretty close in looks. Mag and Bayonet setup is different. Few other things that are easy to change.
I just realized that I forgot the mag release. Guess I better add that back in, SKS still has one that drop on the "floor" of the magazine.
There should be both of it then.
There are. Type 63 is the primary Bandit weapon.

Hey ! Model of the SKS is so amazing but are you make modern SKS with 30 rounds mag too ?
Excellent! No more goddamn 20-round mags and short barrels on a Soviet surplus weapon. The dovetail mount addition is also a great idea, balances things out so you aren't just using an old semi-auto with 10 rounds and no optics.
id love to see someone make a commander mod that is detailed and works because i feel like this game would work really well with a commander mod or aspect to it and maybe make it so its only there to help but if you do enable the commander mode you can setup road blocks bases and even make self made bases but maybe thats just me
