Tedrich was not a remarkable boy. In fact by most standards he was rather underwhelming. The only thing that made him truly unique was the horrible dreams that plagued him night after night. Every time he shut his eyes he was faced with the most terrifying events one can imagine. But what makes Tedrich's case particularly interesting is that he could not simply wake up from his nightmares. The only way to escape was to fight his way towards the deepest darkest part of his subconscious and defeat the terrors that make him fear the night.
Very nice lighting
Where's the sun?
Who knows...
it died
Yesterday... Or is it yesteryear? Ah, who knows...
I love how the light from behind the door is only coming through the very bottom. It's pefect and very well done, and not a door shaped recangle of light that I always get and that I've seen everywhere else.
The sun doesnt have to be there in dreams :s come on fellas
They are referencing psychonauts again :p
I guess I need to make a bigger break from the level design of that so people won't think I'm just trying to remake that game. Luckily I have many other awesome areas planned that are nothing similar to levels in that game.
Believe me, even trying to copy that game is awesome.
Personally, I don't want just a copy of Psychonauts. It was fresh and original but just a copy of it would feel a little soulless and empty (how many bad Star Wars and Lord of the Rings imitators are there?). Not to say you can't pay homage to it here and there, like this looks to be doing. I'm sure there's going to be plenty of originality in this mod, and I can't wait to see more. Keep it up!
Nightmare Times XD
Lol
I love that in every game there all always some sort of "Times" regarding the players current situation :)
I think I gonna try Psychonauts now
