This week our POTW reveals the interior of the Llama Temple and is brought to you by Zeropresence, the letter 'h' and the number '42'. The Temple is home to those who worship the great Llama deity, Llamar.
We've recently run into some very frustrating problems with the conversation system in Deus Ex. We've managed to exceed both the maximum amount of lines, and event flags. However, the current problems are (in my opinion) unlikely to delay the mod for any significant amount of time. All other departments are continuing work while we whip up some kind of a fix (read: while that guy [the coder] whips up a fix). So don't be too upset about any of that. Of course, if someone has a solution, we'd love to hear it!
This week has seen a fair bit of progress on the musical side of things. Yarron has cooked up some superb stuff for the WorldCorp level as well as a track that will be used in the Llama Temple. Sensei has fixed up a malfunctioning Goat City track and continues work on his other ventures. Troupe is a busy guy, but he's teased us with a fantastic segment of the track he's working on for the Slums sector of Forum City.
Mapping news isn't overwhelming this week, but everything continues apace. Kevo-sama has finished a new version of the Downtown sector of Forum City (which I have yet to check out, but I'm sure it shall be most awesome). Beeblequix continues work on the revamped Downtown sector, which we eagerly await screenshots of. Zeropresence has finished up a secret level he was working on and is now crafting the Llama Temple you see in the POTW. On that note, we still need mappers. If you think you have the skills required (or even if you don't) please drop us a line and let us know.
We also now have a banner running on this fine site, so keep an eye out for it!
Good work. I wish you luck in getting past the the flags problem.
Thanks for the support Jim:-)
At times we wonder if anyone remembers what Deus Ex is:-p
