The last week can be described rather completely by a positive emotional outburst. Huzza! shall do nicely.

PCGamer UK has informed us that the preview they're doing on us will be in the issue which hits shelves on May 12th. We're entirely unsure of the actual size of the preview. Considering we wrote four pages of responses to their questions, we hope they'll find it all interesting enough to lease us a good bit of page real estate. Most of us are stuck over here in the Western hemisphere, so our UK cohorts will be shipping us copies (considerable bribes were required for such service).

The musician folk have thrown themselves and their artistic talents into the fray, armed with the new endless possibilities of the .ogg music system Jim has coded for us. In case anyone is wondering, .ogg is just another compression format, like .mp3. As such it will enable the musicians to compose using any program they like and produce CD quality music.

As for maps, there are exactly 6 which remain geometrically incomplete (out of 32). Every single one of those maps has a dedicated mapper working on it. Most are almost complete and we've set the goal of having the mapping on half of them done this month. Furthermore, we recently discovered an old map by a mapper who is no longer with us, for a mission which has now been redesigned. Having nothing to use this geometrically completely finished map for, we decided to use it for an extra optional side mission to keep you guys busy with. The mission we've come up with is tailor made for the map, so no changes will be necessary. In other words, it's like getting an extra mission for free!

The Graphics and Coding crews are carrying things along splendidly. The awesome thing about these guys is that they are completely undazed in the face of business. Even though their to-do lists are rather extensive and there aren't a lot of them to take care of it all, they fearlessly continue their quest to reach the end of the list. These guys are doing amazing work and the mod will be that much better for it!

Before I go I'd like to point out that the Logo Contest ends in just 8 short days. Don't pass up your change to win a signed Deus Ex strategy guide!

Look out for a Team Member Rant from Metche "Mercedes" Steele, the graphics lady, sometime midweek :-)

Trestkon out.
