The Longest Journey HD is a mod for one of the best adventure games ever made. It includes neural network upscaled backgrounds and sprites, redrawn user interface and a lot of other small improvements thanks to ResidualVM implementation of the game engine. I wouldn't call it the final release, rather version 1.0. There is always room for improvement, because SISR algorithms are not perfect and the quality of the original graphics assets is not consistent. Anyway, future updates (if any) will be mostly cosmetic, nothing significant. Enjoy the game! P. S. Special thanks to bgK for his extensive support and assistance.

It looks amazing, you can actually make out a lot of the details now, ingame and in the FMVs. Still compatible with the latest stable release of ScummVM, no need to use ResidualVM anymore.

I'm speechless, stunned, moved...For me, TLJ is not even the best adventure game I've ever played, it is the very best gaming experience I have. It lives deep inside me for almost 21 years. I cannot say how many times I've finished it and I cannot say how many futile hours I spent fixing incompatibility issues during last years (special modes, fixes, WinXP in VMware, dual boot, historic drivers...) just to play it one more time.
And now it is here, stable, in HD, with functional cutscenes and platform independent! After I gave up a hope I'll ever play it again normally, it runs on my mac buttery smooth...this is truly an incredible job, thank you so very much!!!
