Welcome to The Infected, a Half-Life 2 modification. An epidemic plague has swept throughout the whole United States, causing the “infected” to experience dramatically different changes, both physically and mentally. The Infected act, jump, and run similar to that of monkeys. They are extremely fast, can jump exceptionally high, can climb buildings, and are incredibly unintelligent. They hunt for uninfected humans, looking to force the humans to be another Infected. One tiny drop of blood can make any human become an Infected virtually in an instant. The countries around the world have not helped the United States yet, because they have no clue as to what the current situation is. There is no reinforcement crew and no knight in shining armor to save the United States from complete devastation.
