This is the Ilsamiren Wars, a modification for Rome: Total War the Barbarian Invasion and the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. It is an entirely original concept. THE STORY The world of the Western Continent is generally peaceful, but for the occasional raid on the Ilsamiri by their neighbours of the Northern Kingdom and the Seaborne. These raids have of late become increasingly regular and organised, however, a poor omen. The Ocean Tribes conduct their civilisation quietly among the Islands of the Dividing Sea and the Southern and Western Kingdoms carry out their trade and agriculture under stable rules, but they too are increasingly threatened, largely because of their close relationship with the Ilsamiri. Development has stalled, but is starting on a final push!

Well, the development process drew to a grinding halt as the exam period descended once again, but now I'm on holiday I plan to do some more work on the mod, but probably only for my personal enjoyment I'm sad to say (unless I get some dedicated modellers, this iteration of the mod is sunk).

I'd really rather focus on a different project from here on in (if I can't get the support necessary for a public release) - two years of work with almost nothing to show for it, save a map, a lot of information and background and some concept art doesn't really cut it.

I'm considering branching out onto another engine (with a reworked concept in a similar vein), but my aim in modding from here on is really for self-sufficiency and independence - which includes modelling, mapping, animation etc. My ideas aren't strong enough, it seems, to maintain the input of others :D .

If this last effort doesn't come off, I'll be sorry to have disappointed any die-hard fans (and the few team members who really strove early on), but modding, I discover, is a hobby which works best when you can do everything yourself!

This concept isn't dead, but the modification is on its last legs, and I hope that the Ilsamiren Wars concept will be seen in its complete form in the future!
