Yeah, I'm going to stay away from the painted look for such areas though, so it doesn't look *too* Silent Hill-esque.

Yeah, there will be some but most of the cinematics take place in graphic novel sequences.

Seeing that I'm quite asking myself if you'll put in an "press use to pick stuff up"-script.
Those always annoyed me, for example in AoMDC i found the flashlight only by accident. (X3)

Well it clearly states in the AOMDC readme that you need to press use to pickup items, it helps to read documentation :P

For TF, you have an inventory and if you see something you can pick up, you press enter and you get a message saying it's been added to your inventory. If it's a weapon then you can select it in your inventory or use the weapon hotkeys. If it's an item that you can use then you must be at the place where it can be used else it will say you can't use the item here, much like Silent Hill works.

Btw the flashlight wont have any batteries in TF, just so you know ;)

Well, i knew I had to press use,but maybe i should have put the gamma up. But the flashlight was black (or grey), lying on some bed in the corner, and... well.

Also, will you put the batteries out completely, or will you make it like the standard light in HL?
If you made something like a "reload" animation with putting new batteries in it would be sweet. And I'm sure you'd be able to script that, if you think about your inventory :3
(or just make the light go darker but not (and not with running out of batteries x3))

P.S.: AoMDC's zombies were so annoyingly fast, i just wouldn't mind to beat that game D:
F.E.A.R. didnt annoy me, though. Oh yeah, except for that one scene, where I shot out 3 magazines out of sheer surprise XD

There wont be any batteries in the flashlight, so therefore no reload.

TF will have some F.E.A.R. like moments, but not too many as I don't want to be too cliche with the scare factor.
