Since Halo CE it had said that. The part you should be concerned about is that he's holding it over his left shoulder with his hands in the correct position.

Actually, Believe it or not, this is not a RPG-7. This is a M41 SSR MAV/AW U.N.S.C SPNKr Rocket Launcher. If you gave this weapon to someone in real life, who never played Halo, nor, hardly has any explosive weapons training.
Yes, they would hold it backwards, and I wouldn't blame them. Because as you may have noticed in Rocket Launchers, and Rocket propelled grenade launchers these days, the end of the launcher, that actually fires the Rocket/Rocket Propelled Grenade. That end is usually shorter in length, then the back end of the Launcher.
Which, in this case, with the M41, the front parts of the barrels are actually longer then the back ends.
