As most of you expected Deception is dead. I have yet to find a new modeler, coder, and a music producer so Im sorry to say but, the Mod is OFFICIALLY Closed. BUT dont worry, I am starting a new Solo project called Aberration.
a real shame that this mod has stopped developing, but good news you start with a new one. i really hope you will not fall for the same mistake that you need again skilled other people for this. because its very hard, and most of the times even impossible to find good coders and modelers for your projects. simply because there are not that many good ones around, (and the number gets smaller each day, the Hl2 community gets smaller) and those that are around are always already bussy with another project of there own or someone else's.
so, try to do as much as you can yourself, only by doing so you can be sure you are able to finish the mod. at least i work like that, with a few team members, and it has helped us release many mods over the last years.

A suggestion for your new mod, don't think of just adding new guns and content, please focus really hard on a new story that is captivating and fresh, The Stanley Parable is a great example of this, he added almost no new content in terms of models or scripts, yet it is one of the most enjoyable mods I have ever played, just a suggestion.
Sweet. I'll be tracking your solo project. I believe I've seen a few screens and a video or two of this already, and it looks promising. The custom textures already make it stand out.
Paulisdead thanks for the support but my question to you is how have you seen videos of Aberration? Do I know you under a different name? Also don't worry this new mod is very story driven.

and I didn't feel like reading the description, or this article all the way
but I have to warn you, that by letting a mod die, you are entering into a common cycle here on moddb, of failed mods... I see it all the time, people think it would be sweet to make a mod... they dont finish, then they start a new mod... never finish, because they didn't have determination.... I really hope you do have determination to finish a project.
don't take any of this negatively... this really is just me making a request to make a lot of failed mod.... the best of luck to you! :)
Well if you knew anything about the mod you would know it was canceled due to the rest of the team quitting. My new project is all solo, no one to relie on but my self. Aberration will be finished, don't worry.
