beautiful artwork
Damn, I'd say it's amazing, but It would feel like an understatement !
I want to talk concept behind this. Because we have The Hobbit movies, which are good for visual references if nothing else. And yet this seems, aside from color palette, to be a marked departure from the design of the Men of Dale from The Hobbit trilogy. So I was curious as to what was the mindset behind that departure.
I don't see what you're talking about. I think this concept closely resembles the Dalian Nobles concept art from WETA in appearance and style.
The choice for the Dale archers made by the art directors of The Hobbit is inferior. The initial concept art made for them was awesome and it was used as a prime reference. Also the RTS game requires units and buildings to have some contrast, hence subtle color and clothing/armor changes without stepping away much from the reference.
that's f*kin sick. Absolutely brilliant.
Well, that is an incredible work!!! Holy S***!
good design but seeing it from top to bottom or noticed (which was not there) a sword ... I suggest you make it more distinguishable from the rohirrim ones, in addition to this I wondered: the sword foreshadows a change to the unit that provides the body a
body or and just to embellish the design (and eliminate the detail in the final unit when you release the game) know that for a change because they fight hand to hand I like (you could take as an example the rangers' close combat style and readjust / improve it for the men of the valley) thank you
