The American Revolution Mod (T.A.R. Mod for short) is a complete overhaul for Empire Total War. It allows the player to replay the American Revolutionary War fielding a massive roster of units drawn straight from history! The AI is based on DarthMod with option for using Bran Mac Born's AI tweaks. T.A.R. Mod also comes complete with several custom campaigns and support for the original Empire campaigns. All that topped off with the T.A.R. Launcher and Management system with selectable options so can tailor the mod to your liking. With over a hundred thousand downloads over the previous years, T.A.R. has been rebuilt from the ground up and re-released in 2019 with the The American Revolution Mod Tenth Anniversary Edition! The American Revolution 1775 Campaign:
The Revolution 1775 Campaign is a Grand Campaign Mod that is a major overhaul based on Episode 3.
Play as the American Rebels, Indians, the European Powers or Pirates.

The United States 1783: Campaign
The United States 1783 Campaign is a Grand Campaign Mod that is a major overhaul based on Episode 4.
Play the United States, Indians, or the other Major World Powers.


The United States 1700 Campaign:
The United States 1700 Campaign is a special "What If" Grand Campaign Mod.
It allows for play as the United States starting in the year 1700.


Indian Wars Campaign:
Based on the Warpath Campaign, this campaigns you to play as the U.S. or European Powers in addition to the Native American Tribes.

Liberty or Death! Campaigns:
Liberty or Death Campaigns are based on some of the campaigns mentioned above campaigns for select factions that feature army stacks of 30 or 40 units for truly massive battles!

Overhauled BAI and CAI:
T.A.R. 3.0 has a DarthMod AI system, tweaked for T.A.R. When war comes it will be brutal and it will be vicious.

Hi! I have a big problem, in fact when I launch a campaign for example "american revolution" I cannot see the units of my armies so clearly I cannot play for and I would like to know if there was one. solution

I tried, I really tried, how is this at 3.2, tenth anniversary state I don't know.

Mughals attack Orissa, CTD, Spain attacks Lisbon, and my army is relief, well CTD. I attack a Mughal army in India, well CTD... FFS!

Then there is other people here complaining about constant Random CTDs.

I just don't get it, how are we supposed to play this? A mod about America, but the campaigns with it are the buggiest, my 1700 Sweden Campaign was the only one without problems, yet many modes cover that anyway.

I am legitimately interested how do people play this.

I keep reading issues and ctds in comments and those stuff sounds so damn troublesome, looks like I won't be trying this for now, too bad this mod looks so good

Crashes around the 10th-15th turn regardless of which campaign im running or just running the "Empire" campaigns from it. I do not have a stolen/pirated copy i own both the physical version as well as the steam version. Played since it was released. I really like this mod but when i cant play a campaign beyond the beginning stages it is extremely frustrating. I have tried doing a clean install of both empire and this mod... doesnt matter. My laptop is running 32GB of Ram as well as an RTX 2080s for graphics so it is def not my laptop.... please help. i can not fix this. i have no additional mods and im about to give up and go back to darth mod

I have this really odd crash in the 1700 US campaign. Specifically, when settlement fortifications complete the next turn, the game crashes without fail when that next turn starts. Every other campaign does not seem to have this problem, at least when playing as the US.
It does not crash when i take over a settlement which already has the walls built, it only crashes when you build it yourself.

I also have no idea if the problem also affects the Improved Settlement Fortifications as i have not reached far enough in the 1700s US campaign to receive a settlement which can upgrade to that level.

EDIT - It seems the only solution is to go back to the "Stockades Only Construction" setting so you cant even build the fortifications in the first place. Shame, but what can you do.
