In the late twenty-first century, corporate competition, mergers and takeovers led to the forming of one big corporation controlling all production world-wide, effectively becoming the only institution of any real power on Earth. Society was put in a constant state of martial law, and those who dared oppose the steel fist of the regime were murdered, tortured or thrown in jail by the UMF, the United Military Forces, a merger of every former national or corporate law enforcement, military and intelligence agency. Now the regime has maintained its power for several years. The regime controls about 75% of the world’s landmass, and most of its population. Nonetheless, there are groups who try to end its dominance... The standard sidearm for UMF forces, also used by
some militia troops. The small caliber high speed
bullets have good penetration power against armor
but not much stopping power. It has a built in
targeting laser since it is a close combat weapon.
The material used for making the pistol is the
same as for the assault rifle; plastic, light
weight metals and carbon fibre. Not a very
effective weapon but good as light weight last
resort when all else fails.
