Q: Will T3 have jetpacks ? (Added 11-24-2004 by Lex)
A: Initially, T3 will have HL2 player physics. However, as a CTF game with heavy vehicles and base defenses, I imagine cappers will eventually need to get tweaked with whatever "mobility enhancements" that might be coming to a mod with the best implementation of the Havoc physics engine yet ;)

And that's probably all we're saying on "jetpacks and skiing" for a long, long while to come.... but you won't be disappointed, gameplay pace will adapt as we design the mod.

Q: What weapons will T3 have ? (Added 11-24-2004 by Lex)
A: T3 will have the following weapons:
- Semi-automatic assault rifle
- Grenade launcher
- Plasma gun
- Machine gun
- Rocket launcher
- Mortar launcher
These are the initial 6 weapons. Things may, of course, grow from there.

Q: What vehicles will T3 have ? (Added 11-24-2004 by Lex)
A: T3 will have the following vehicles:
- Chopper-style hover gunship
- Viper fighter
- Titan transport + forward base
- Some sort of bomber
- At least one tank
These are the first 5 vehicles, more will almost certainly make their appearance.

Q: Does T3 mean Tribes 3 ?
A: Let's clear this one up right off: T3 doesn't mean Tribes 3. This is an all-new mod that just happens to have the name T3, it doesn't even mean this is the third of anything. This will not be a Tribes game, but if you've played Lexor's RevMod2 mod on Tribes 2, you'll have a good idea of the vehicle action and the game pacing.

Q: Will it have ((( this ))) ? How about ((( that ))) ?
A: Right now everything's on the table. T3 will begin very simply with some relatively flat maps, and some vehicles -- quite likely the HL2 vehicles you've already seen in action. Deployables, armour suits, jet boosters, even mines and grenades may or may not ever be in T3, depending on gameplay evolution, technical issues, etc.

Q: What will T3 be like ?
A: It will be nothing like Counterstrike ;) Imagine a fast-paced, massive multiplayer game with large maps and strong, effective vehicles stretching their claws across the landscape. If you've played Half Life 2, you'll know what I mean.

Q: What kind of vehicles ?
A: The Titan and Viper design details are available in the Development area. Some of the HL2 vehices might also make their appearance depending on performance. A total of more than a dozen vehicles are planned.

Q: How will vehicles be obtained ?
A: There may possibly be a mixture of "deployable" vehicles, re-spawning vehicles, and vehicle creation pads, depending on the strategic importance of each vehicle and map design considerations.

Q: What is the current status ?
A: T3 is in the very early stages of development. We know what we want, but we need a Few Good Men (or Women) who can contribute their efforts. More info on available positions is available in the Development area, and if nothing else you'll be most certainly be warmly welcomed as a gameplay tester and/or idea contributor.

Q: How long until I can play it ?
A: No idea. It might take weeks, it might take a few months before there is anything worth checking-out. That said, however, T3 will need a large, dedicated testing team available to playtest while it's being developed. Player feedback contributes enormously to the game as it evolves.

T3 is a futuristic, team-based, vehicle-dominated, strategy-oriented CTF mod currently in development for Half Life 2's Source engine.

In the spirit of action/strategy hybrids like the Tribes series from Dynamix, T3 will bring the best online gameplay to the best engine around -- Valve's Source platform.

Expect vast, open terrains, large distances between bases, and powerful, fun, effective vehicles. Teamwork will be richly rewarded, but cowboys aren't shunned.

I thought the name came from Terminator 3 for some reason. ;) Maybe I'm just weird.
