Hello there! You guys have waited patiently for a very long time for an Ultimate War release, and at last it is here. Unfortunately, this version of the Galactic Conquest Beta is completely broken and buggy, and far from finished. Even remotely. But hey, who cares let's all just have fun and see where this goes.
Many of the units are half coded, missing textures, buggy, and useless. The other half may just work correctly. There are almost no new maps in this version, and Skirmish is still untouched. Most of the Galactic Conquests will work, but a couple will crash very frequently. My only wish is that everyone who downloads and plays Ultimate War will do so with a smile on their face and a laugh every time the mod crashes. This project has been immense, and I have been working on it completely solo for years now. I am proud of where the mod is now, and with school starting back up for me soon I thought I'd get this off my mind and give you guys a try.

Are you using retail or Steam? Im having lots of people using the original retail version report that it crashes on startup

Alrighty, so a few years ago I found out that setting mods into a Mod Folder does not activate the mods in the retail version. The way I took care of this to play mods was a bit convoluted, but it WILL work.
First off, create a EAW:FC Backup Folder. Your game should be in a folder in your Program Files. Open your game folder, and take the DATA Folder out, and place it in your EAW:FC Backup Folder.
Then open the folder containing the Mod, and place its Data Folder in the main game folder, replacing the one you just took out. This method prevents you from accidentally over-writing important vanilla game files.
Now, mind you, this is NOT the most effective method. There should be actual Mod Launchers out there for the retail Gold Pack that allow you to choose mods you want to activate, but it's been a long time since I've seen them.
If you want to return your game to its original state, just take the Data Folders you moved, and put them back where they belong. But do NOT try to have both data folders in the same place at the same time. You WILL cause the folders to combine, and that will mess up your game.
You can use .bat files t lunch mods, just write it in the .bat file:
swfoc MODPATH=Mods\MODNAME
You need to put this file in EAWX(if you use Gold pack)

It's just a way to open mods without Modluncher, not a way to solve a problem with GCB.
This is a very late reply, but using the retail version IS the problem. When using the mods, the retail version unfortunately suffers from serious memory leak issues, meaning that very few mods will actually remain stable. The steam version obviously corrects this.

Not at all, the mod is still being worked on, but there is only one person responsible for it - so you can imagine that they don't have too much time to work on it. Tuna42 did place a permanent Discord invitation in the description, where you can keep more up to date track of the progress. Discord is free, and doesn't change anything in your computer - it's just a more organized forum.
Yeah I use it. I appreciate the fact he's alone and am in no way rushing as you can see from my comment. But the whole post did have a OK guys this is it! vibe. Glad that's not the case, thanks for your reply.
Running nicely, but issues for Galactic Republic building turrets and deploying vanguards to the ground. I don't know if its deliberate, but the republic bombers aren't able to damage shielded hardpoints?
same problem as Doffen21. i've used launcher and a .bat file doesn't work Yuichi's solution didn't help either

Is this mod for SWEAWFOC v1.1? If its so, then this mod is broken. Game crushes after first load screen, retail version. Other mods and game itself works correctly. Author, can y give any advices about this error?
I can verify this. With the original disc version this current version of the mod crashes on startup. After a few seconds on the loading screen it goes boom.
Normally with such an error the solution would be to either delete the shaders folder or the Graphicdetails.xml but the mod has neither so the cause must be somewhere else.
Other mods like Thrawn's Revenge, RaW, Remake-Light or Phoenix Rising don't have this issue.

I use GOG version of this game and this game still crashes despite having good mod launchers and 4gb patches. Can you fix it when you release this mod properly in 2020?
