1.1 release for SiC - Remod, hope you all enjoy it! This file has everything that is needed to play SiC, no extra installation is required.
CHANGELOG :
- Removed sic6, can't have a crash in a map if the map itself doesn't exist.
- Replaced controller.mdl, should reduce the crashes around Castle Poltergeist.
SiC:Remod already includes the files from the actual SiC, so you don't need to install anything else, just this one!
INSTALLATION
Installation is simple, simply extract the Catacombs folder that is inside the .7z into your Half-Life installation folder (Where hl.exe is located, NOT inside any of the other folder such as "valve" or "valve_hd")"
Example would be "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life"
There should now be "valve", "valve_hd", and "Catacombs" inside you Half-Life installation folder along with any other mod/steam-related folders you may have inside.
Restart Steam, Survive in Catacombs - Remodded should be inside the My Games list.
If that doesn't work somehow, create a shortcut of hl.exe, open it's Properties, add " -game Catacombs" to the end of the target bar.
Example would be "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life\hl.exe -game Catacombs"
The mod also adds simple detail texturing, if not activated yet, type "r_detailtextures 1" and its counterpart into the console.

I experience the exact same.
As soon as I load out of the valley with the cableway car or whatever into sic7, the game closes itself.
I believe this was also in the original version, though i have yet to experience this.

I removed some entities, though i'm pretty sure that it was actually the map brushes themselves that cause the crash.
You need a save from Sic5 though, changes to new maps don't bode well with older saves.
But if there's no hope, use this save file.

How do you stop the loading screen crashes?
It crashes as soon as I get to the sic7 map.
The crashes doesn't seem to happen to me, could it be on your part?
Perhaps any driver incompatibility?
An already modded "valve" folder with stuff that collides with SiC:Remod?
I just tried to replay the entire mod from introduction to sic20, and there was literally no crashing whatsoever.
Well, I tried it and for some reason, watching the introduction video and keeping it in the background for like all of 5 minutes helped. That somehow fixed my problem.
Could you elaborate?
Tried to do "map sic7" in console and it crashed the game :(
The crashes are really random, 'till today i still couldn't figure out a way to fix the problem without rebuilding the map from scratch.
