[NOTE: PROGRESS ON THIS MOD HAS STOPPED. COMPLETED FILES AVAILABLE IN DOWNLOADS PAGE. THANK YOU!] A mod for the Axis and Allies RTS adding a new campaign and new maps, new units, and two new factions; the Strategically Integrated Coalition of Nations (SICON for short) and the Arachnid Empire. After SICON victory on the "bugs"' home planet of Klendathua, and the supposed destruction of the Arachnid queen in space, the great bug was thought to be over. The Earth could now attend to matters of peace. This all changed when the bugs; who had secretly infiltrated some of the highest levels of earth's nations, launched a suprise attack. It is up to you as a SICON general to stop the arachnid's offensive, and save humanity from annihilation. ( Heavily based on the TV show ROUGHNECKS: Starship Troopers Chronicles )

here are some tips.

the map can be beaten. I've beaten it a dozen times. the trick is to hold off on capturing Le Sars until you've captured all of the other villages first. don't kill the forest lookouts. I know, it's counter-intuitive... but if you leave them alive then the 8 marine regiments won't storm Hill 101 before you get there.

try to find all three of the river crossings and build up a wall of bunkers at each spot. if you don't secure these three crossings you'll spend a LOT of time trying to steal back cities from the enemy.

make sure you build some AA bunkers east of Hill 102 and Le Sars to help stave off Russian bombers.

there is a Russian Mechanized division SE of Le Sars. destroy this with a flanking attack from the south before making a serious attempt to destroy the elite Russian mechanized units.

every time you capture a city have an engineer regiment build some bunkers to keep Russian paratroopers from stealing it. once you've captured all the cities west of the Scarpe River try to capture Trescault Mansion at the botom of the map. once this is done launch two attacks-- one towards Hill 105 and Irles at the south river crossing. and then launch a flanking attack against Irles and move towards Hesdigneul.

after that use reinforce these towns with bunkers and then launch a two-pronged attack against Queant from the north and the south. after this it's just a matter of fortifying each town as you move along.

be warned that a new army gets spawned at the top of the map on the 60 minute mark. this is to keep players from getting too complacent about the northern sector and all of it's static troop formations.

always do a quick 360 pan of each city before launching your attacks. villages like Le Sars and Metz en Couture have anywhere from 6 to 12 cutscene snipers hidden in blind spots near buildings. if all of those hidden cutscene actors aren't eliminated it's impossible to successfully capture the cities.

this is why it is so important to capture the outlying hills and inspect the city from every direction before moving in to attack. if you send your infantry rushing into occupy a city with no visible enemy regiments-- they're probably going to run into concealed snipers and take some serious damage.

I wanted to force players to use everything at their disposal to win this map. I got the impression that a lot of players never change camera angles during a game-- and that's a habit that will hurt you when you try to finish this map.

Yeah, sorry about the lack of updates recently. Just some screenshots from a little game with one of Gizomotron's custom maps, using SICON Units. I reskinned the SICON Corps HQ, and I'm happy with their economy, but still need to work out the Arachnid faction.
