wow nice thing=) really cool one of the best models i´ve seen.
but one question...
dont you think its still a bit too thin? like its breaking apart?
in the series the base is much more massive i think...maybe its just the angle ...and i must admit its not^^ but on this pic its looks very very thin don´t you think?
The base of the city ins't actually that thick, the whole city is rather fragile from a structural standpoint, since the Ancients knew the shield could hold back anything, and they didn't have to worry about powering it.
Mckay says something to that effect in Series 1 in the storm episodes
hm...it is very thick actually^^ i got plenty of pics and episodes showing this^^ original pics of course^^
here....2 pics

i search for more....
At the top view most people believe that this Atlantis is a copy of a web model. So i create a different bottom view.
Because this is a very importnat model for us and for MGM i can't create an exactly copy.
So I can confirm and i can to prove i create all points and polygons for this 3D ships.
But the number of polygons for capitals ships is limited and i can't create more polygons to the bottom part. So it is my choice, i think it is more important to recopy the top of city.
To conclude, i confirm you in the alpha test that your thin feeling is not. I was surprised myself.
je pense aussi qu'il manque du volume au niveau de la base

Outstanding work here, really. This has to be one of the best Atlantis models I've seen, probably THE best for use in a game.
Really can't wait to play with this, well done! =]
dioston had a good pic showing how big is is
arnt the stardrives on the inner mass
Yes the city is more thin than the original. But i don't like the original base of city. It's my choice.
To conclued, it's a low polygons model and optimized version for the game, so you will see more differences.
i wasnt saying its bad just difrent i like that u put urself into it this could be the city ship thats ment to fight in space because the real atlantis had a debuff in space

WHY YOU HATE SYMETRY !!
After seeing the 47k polys 11mo one in the older SG mod (which had cool ori ,orion and such) I though this was an undercover mod to hide that one xD
That one was exactly like in the movies... perfectly symetrical D:
and this is like.. you can't find the face or back of the model, that border uniting 2 wings is like the face, now on which of the sides pfft
I don't hate symetry but the real Atlantis isn't symetry. I just modify the bottom part...
If you see better and if you create models, you'll understand...
AmonRa which program do you use to make the models?
Hi there, is this model still available please?
