This Sins of a Solar Empire modification brings the various Stargate franchises into the fold. Choose your race as the Tau'ri, Asurans, Goa'uld, Wraith, or Asgard. Build your empire, research technology, command mighty warships, engage in diplomacy, make allies and trade. The Invasion has begun...
Here is a couple of pictures of our new, more detailed, less poly count model of Atlantis. Built by me, Epytron_Omega
what will Atlantis be?
I cant imagine its a defense station
its going 2 be a capital ship
is it going to be to scale?
Yep all the ships/stations will be to scale. So atlantis and aurora will be massive :)
one question(for now): Will the human(tau'ri or whatever) atlantis be different weapon wise?
because in the series the only weapons atlantis has are the drones and the Railguns from "The Siege"
if you are going to have railgun for the human version, will they be on some of the towers, or just wherever fits?
There will be no Tau'ri verison of atlantis. Asuran only -Tau'ri was unable to build one.
cen you put a atlantis mini mod that ads onli atlantis in the geme
Something that has been bothering me for a while is that it seems two of the piers of Atlantis are connected in ways they shouldn't be. I wasn't sure at first but I went and looked at some pictures from the last Atlantis episode, Enemy at the Gates, on Gateworld and I was surprised and confused.
Some pictures confirmed my feeling that those connections weren't there:
Gateworld.net
Gateworld.net
However other screen captures were different:
Gateworld.net
Gateworld.net
Gateworld.net
All these screen captures being from the same episode, leaves me wondering if the producers thought no one would notice, or different Atlantis Ships or what I'm not sure.
Just thought that creating an account to bring this to your attention would be worth it since I'm sure many players like myself see the Atlantis City Ship as an important part of the Stargate Universe.
astroid belt
It seems to me that section moves back into pier when in high orbit, or space. I very much doubt they would use two different Atlantis models in the same episode.
True, I guess that makes sense, though why would it need to retract, its got the shield on? Oh well its science fiction :)
UBER EPIC!!!
I noticed that too. The pier is connected oddly and the small piece in the right middle.
The Atlantis-class ship above is an Asuran Model, An improved version of Atlantis,So Atlantis and the Asuran model do not look alike.
good point, Asurans were always trying to out do the Ancients to prove thier epicness
How fast is atlantis going to be?
I'd like to think that atlantis(the city) would always be on the capital world. likes lets say i purchase "the capital planet" on a planet in another system, whilst its building, Atlantis will launch and go directly to it.
