Here is the scale of the Poseidon Class Carrier.
cool
AAAAAAMY GOOD! now i have to change underpants >.>
that cool
That's the direct combat capital ship right? The One below i mean... Excalibur
the Siege Vessel, yes.
the daedalus is small.
(relatively speaking)
the Daedalus is a a Battle cruiser, so it is smaller then the Capital Ships.
very cool, what roll will the ship below the Poseidon Fill? (in relation to current Sins capital ships, if there is an equivalent ship that is.)
as stated above, it will be the Siege Capital Ship.
I was wondering if u r gonna increase the number of strike craft squadrons
because in stargate the deadalus seems to have at least four squadrons and thats just a battlecruiser and the wraith have swarms of them. in fact aside from the asguard most ships in the series have strike craft.
Most ships will start out with Strike craft, but some will not. Just depends on the size of the ship, and if we really want them to have fighters or not.
um why do people ask questions without saying how FRICKIN AWESOME THIS SHIP IS??? great job guys
Since the wraith always seem to have plenty of strike craft, maybe they should have a technological advantage in that area. Like they would have more strike craft then the rest of the races, maybe a little bit more armour or damage. It's up to you, I'm just making suggestions.
Humans are going to have 4 types of strike craft. the F-302, F-312, and two others.
F-312? bomber class?
sort of. I was thinking of having 2 fighter classes, those being the F302 and F312, and then two bomber classes which havent been named yet.
Well, keeping with the US style of naming aircraft, it'd have to be something like B350/b360 or something of that nature.
agreed. Thats probably what we are going to go with.
awesome! if you choose B350 do i get royalties?
maybe B-350 Scorpius Bomber :)
I like it! Scorpius sounds fitting. :)
Nice. :D that'll stroke my ego just fine!!
lol. that convo made me giggle. nice
Battlecruiser? I thought BC-304 stood for "Battle Carrier"? I recall them calling it a "deep space carrier", for all it's worth.
they 'carry' crap from galaxy to galaxy, thats the only reason. Its like calling a ship a carrier even though it only holds 2 or three helecopters. Where as a aircraft carrier can hold hundreds of planes and copters. Also a 304 is tiny, where as something like a hive (a true space carrier holding hundreds of ships inside) can launch hundreds of fighters and troop transports in seconds.
In the daedalus if you take a look at the plaque that is on the bridge it says "deep space recon"
battle carrier sounds weird.
Battlecruiser makes sense!!
Especially as the Daedalus class ships aren't really carriers.... they just have a handful of F302s
Hey, ive got a ship in my mod called the X305 (i know its taken here) but its essentially a F302 with asgard beam (fires very rarely) you guys going to have something like that in this?
no. no fighters will have Asgard Beam weapons. The biggest weapon that any strike craft is going to receive, atleast for the humans, is Strategic Nukes. These being of a much smaller yield then what is carried on the Daedalus during 'The Siege' Episodes.
i hope not.
I was about to use the phrase "that wouldn't be realistic" but hey... it's Stargate.
@Scorpius: A you saying that sci-fi shows are unrealistic?!?! BLASPHAMY!! XD
I don't know what came over me. The aliens, the "second generation human species" the ability to travel in a theoretical layer of space named 'sub-space', a military force that manages to successfully complete every mission within an hour/two hours depending on if it's a two parter?
Clearly Stargate is a documentary :D
Just think of it as they take a LOT longer than we see, but seeing all that would make it too boring. Also clearly the ascended beings are helping them succeed, which explains why the only time a member of SG-1 ever is actually going to die he ascends (twice!) I mean if I was an ascended being who could predict the future and couldn't intervene directly, but mortals like SG-1 could end a lot of suffering and even defeat the Ori... As far as the second generation humans, I've just can't blame them too much for having low budgets early in the series. Certainly better than rubber-forehead aliens...oh crap! Those were the Unas!
the Unas were the stars of the show.
they could eat candy bars.
these things look verrrry nice skinned and textured, seem to remind me a little bit of the Halo ships (blasphemy, i know) but really cool work
Actually daniel ascended once he didnt manage it the second time he was sort of half ascended the second time because he couldnt keep to the rules.
