This is (an early version of) a ShipStyle mod for GalCiv 3 - that is, it adds a new custom set of ships and templates which you can use in place of any of the standard races. It currently features 20 ship models that will take you from Tiny exploration ships all the way through to Huge warships. These template ships can be used with or without the StyleSet modification.

I know the problem is that I am new to this and don't know what I am doing. I downloaded your file and pasted it in a folder under mygames/galactic civilizations III/mods. I don't know how to get it to run in Galactic Civilizations III, however. The option use mods is on. The preview image looks great and I would really like to get this to work. Could you advise me on what to do next?

there are two problems i have had with this version.

first is a small window after the main loading screen, (the one with the drengin and altarians facing each other with their ships in the background). the window says something about mod validation and that the tech kinetic augmentation tech is fractured because of there being no prerequisite techs available to research.

second problem is that there are longer load times, first load screen (as mentioned above) takes about 30 seconds to move onto the entry video rather than 3-4 seconds as usual (for me), and when you start a new game it just sits on the building map screen for at least 15 min (thats as long as i have let it run for).

Is there anyone working on the problems mentioned by Genobeesrage? For I'm having the same issues with this mod i'm using the most recent version of the game and the issue seems to be originating from the vb2 update.

I know it has been awhile, but if anyone is still trying to get this mod to work, find the file: Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Mods\StarTrekFederationMod\Game\FactionShipStyleSetDefs_FED.xml

And do a search and replace. Change every instance of 'ObjectGfxConfig' to 'ShipDesign' instead. Save it and it should work.
