A suggestion mod that I have been thinking over for a long time, that would be a new campaign (while keeping the old one) that would replace Star Wars: Battlefront 2' graphics and add several new things. I wish to make a campaign based solely on a clone commander known as 'The Lone Commander', as he works alone. The concept is that there aren't separate battles, but one big map where you start on Kamino getting trained, where you can attempt to escape, finish your training, do whatever you want! The beauty is you could change the story line of Star Wars! You can be half way in a battle and just suddenly decide to kill Yoda, or join the CIS, or live in the woods and craft things to survive! You can talk to people, make replies, shoot anyone, use melee weapons, train to become a clone jedi! I would be adding stats to the game like Hunger, Thirst, and Fatigue! You could improve your stats like Strength and Intelligence by training. Winning battles would earn you higher ranks!
(Update) This would allow you to become a clone jedi, or sith and you could kill anyone from either side who would never come back.!

So.. in short, you're just trying to create a Star Wars themed RPG?
Idea sounds great, but I don't think Battlefront II's meant to run something like that.
That was the original idea, but now it is just going to be a new campaign, with the same concept. It would keep everything else. This would probably be for beefier laptops and PCs.

It's a fine idea, but Battlefront II is NOT the game to do it in. That's coming from a veteran modder.

Yeah, fair point. I think I will just make a new campaign as well as keeping everything else, so as not to ruin it.
That'd be much smarter to do, yeah. Scope is very important in these kinds of cases.

It is going to be a challenge with Battlefront 2's crappy engine. I'm thinking about instead of modding the vanilla game, i would have a launcher that you would launch the game with and would remove steam's overlay, depending if they have disc version or steam edition. The launcher would also have a mods folder to put patches and stuff in. Any pointers?
