Star Wars Rise of Hope is a mod that will be based on the early Empire and its fall against the Rebel Alliance and its following sucessor the New Republic.
The TIE striker was a streamlined variant of the TIE line starfighters used by the Galactic Empire. Specialized for in-atmosphere missions, the starfighter was identifiable by its horizontal high-speed wings and large central pod.
Equipped with advanced high-speed wings, it was faster than the standard TIE/LN starfighter and had an extra pair of laser barrels.
I made it grey so it looked more like the other TIE´s and I added the signature of the TIE´s, its red glows in the back.

Will this be a ground only vehicle or will it be usable in space as well?
The Striker will be in ground, in Wookiepedia says that the ship can fly in space aswell, so as the ship is mainly used to protect important locations I will make them be the deployed garrison from Space Stations, they will replace all other TIEs.
Or, depending on the size of your galaxy, you could make it so that important planets (ie: Coruscant, Scarif <-[should you so chose to put that planet in], The Maw, Kuat, etc...) have their own variant of the Imperial Space Station that deploys these instead of regular TIEs and all other planets have regular space stations with regular TIEs.
Another possibility is to make a special TIE Striker hangar structure buildable only on those planets you deem important and all other planets could have one that deploys regular TIE fighters and such.
That conects with an idea I had, it consists to have a lot of different space structures, as your standard Space station, Heavy defense stations, the Golans, etc.
