Return of the Shadows is a mod taking place in an alternate timeline, set after the events of the Imperial Civil War. The Imperial Remnant and the New Republic have signed peace and formed the Galactic Alliance, uniting the majority of the galaxy under a single banner. Corellian Engineering Corporation, Kuat Drive Yards and Mon Calamari Shipyards have been given the task of designing a new line of modern warships while the former Imperial Task Forces are hunting down the remnants of the Black Sun Pirates and the Hut Cartel. However, when an ancient alien race invades the galaxy Yuuzhan Vong style, the entire galaxy is thrown into peril once again. The majority of the galaxy has fallen within seven days and the Galactic Alliance has been pushed back to the south of the galaxy, now ruling from Geonosis. Imperial Extremists travel to Dathomir and establish a new Galactic Empire: The Tyranny. The galaxy is thrown into war once again.

In the past weeks I finished school, got a job and now I got myself the time to get back on the mod.

In the past weeks I finished school, got a job and now I got myself the time to get back on the mod.

So past weeks have been kindof important to me, as I finished school and closed one big chapter of my life. This week I have also gotten a decent job and tomorrow I have my driving exam, so I can say that things are looking well for me. With most stress gotten rid off, I can focus more on the development of Return to the Shadows.

First things first, the Tyranny is getting closed to being finished when it comes to space. In the past weeks I dedicated a portion of my free time to build up a buffer zone of content to show of, which I shall now do in a more structured and reliable manner. Once the Tyranny is done (Only thing remaining are dreadnoughts and space stations) I shall move on to the Galactic Alliance, which shall be slightly more of a challenge because of a high variety of units which all need to get their proper place.
Once the Alliance is done, I shall start working on the alien faction, which will be referred to as 'Shadows' before I announce their actual name. If all this is done, my plan is to completely rewrite the armor/damage system for more realistic combat.
With space concluded, the next step shall be land combat, but more on that in the future.

Last but not least, this is a large and ambitious project, and something I likely ain't able to pull off on my own. Therefor I am actively looking for modelers, skinners and riggers. If you are one of these people, feel free to send me a PM and we'll see if we can work things out.

With that said, I've come to the end of this update with more to come in the future.
