Star Wars Battlefront III Legacy is a large-scale conversion mod created for Battlefront II using as many recovered assets that are available from the cancelled game Star Wars Battlefront 3 by Free Radical; including both eras (Clone Wars and GCW), a brand-new HUD+Interface and a few converted maps such as Coruscant, Cato Neimoidia, Bespin and Dantooine.

Cool designs don't get me wrong but personally I think it would be better if you guys priotized Legends content considering that the memory of the Legends continuity is fading away in the eyes of the main Star Wars fan base.

Agreed, the new canon isn't as great as the legends.

I agree as well. This mod seemed like it was going to be the battlefront 3 we were promised, but its turning into Disney fluff

Yes, let us complain about extra content that no one is required to play or download.

That wasn't the point of my comment. The point was to promote the inclusion of Legends continuity characters. As I said I did think the designs are cool, and I am sure the creator of the mod will do a great job with making the First Order faction feel unique when it comes to incorporating weapons, classes, vehicles etc.

But that doesn't change the fact that there should be more Legends characters in this mod to support a continuity that has helped maintain interest in the Star Wars brand years after the original trilogy concluded.

But, you see; the mod has already added Legends characters, who were not in Battlefront 3. You can find videos a while back of Juno and Starkiller. Why are Jyn and Krennic a problem, or an era about the Sequels.

1. We don't know if Juno and Starkiller will be in the final version of the mod.

2. Jyn, Krennic, and the First Order are going to be included in the new Battlefront 2 so players will likely have an opportunity to play some characters/factions in the new game.

3. There are plently of eras in Legends that would be more deserving to be included in the mod. The Old Republic Era, yes there are mods for it but I personally would like to see it receive the Battlefront 3 treatment. The Dark Times, or my top pick the New Jedi Order era from Legends.
An era that has been retconned by the new Disney canon. And an era that to my knowledge, has never been featured in a Battlefront mod.

1: By your logic, we don't know if any hero will be in the final version.

2: No, Jyn and Krennic are not confirmed for the second game, and even in the first, not everyone can run it. High requirements, for both games at that. Classic (sad that I have to say this) BF2 has great potential as to making the First Order unique and fun, like you said.

3: Why make an era that has already been done a ton? I can download multiple Old Republic mods. Good ones at that. There's a lot of maps set in the Dark Times... and even a mod for it. The sequel era, as I will refer to it now, has.. what? One mod? You bring up a good point about the NJO though, I'll give you that.

Here's the thing though? You know what that fancy new BFII had? Loot boxes, microtransactions, just a bunch of crap no one needs and for whatever reason content was cut back.

I get what you're saying and I agree that it would be nice to get some more Legends content. In no way will I ever knock the idea of more content but also? Let me break it down to you. The Old Republic was never included for Free Radical's original plans for BFIII, neither was the Dark Times or the New Jedi Order. Would it be fun to play them? Of course and I know the excuse that will be thrown out is that they're bonus content.

And guess what? The new canon stuff is ALSO bonus content. What do you have to honestly complain about aside from content that hasn't been explored too many times in a mod that you are free, I repeat, FREE to ignore in any play session but somehow because they are a part of the new canon we need to find something to complain about because Legends is fading from memory despite the fact that there are still many people out there who know this brand, the main movie-going community has never cared and in my honest opinion? There's kind of a good reason why it's fading from memory. While there's a lot of good in Legends? There are also heaps of crap mixed in though of course for a video game that doesn't matter much but guess what? Same applies to the new canon.

So how about instead of complaining about what are just free bonuses that clearly just don't fit your personal vision of the mod that you simply ask for more Legends content along with this?

I don't see how stating one's opinion about a rewrite of a fictional universe equates to "complaining". :P

I like both I grew up with legends but the new Canon stuff has grown on me. However, that does not mean I will trade one out for the other and I will not say one is better than the other. They're both Star Wars so I stopped bitching about the new canon and said:

"**** it, why not enjoy both for what they are".

That's not to say I don't like some of the changes the new Canon has brought but then again there is a lot of stuff in legends I don't agree with either. So for me its simple if its Star Wars I'll watch, read, and play it at least once to see what I am dealing with.

That's a nice way to look at it, but within the context of this mod. If the creator is including the First Order, it probably means we won't get a New Jedi Order era in the mod at all. Meaning in this context both Legends and canon cannot exist in the same space.

Even though a New Jedi Order era mod is 1. more original 2. never been done before in Battlefront 2 3. more logical sense if this Battlefront mod is set within the Legends timeline.

Awesome. No matter one's thoughts on the sequels, this is great if this is a full era and not some one off mode. There's room for new new units as well, Judicials and the Praetorian come to mind.

Both of the things I was referring to were First Order things. Judicials are First Order stormtroopers with black markings and axes and the Praetorian are Snoke's guard. They're basically Royal Guards, but better. Look em up.

Oh, you meant those.

Judicials is also what the pre-clone army republic forces were sometimes called. Little more than police. The officers in the republic ship at the start of TPM are Judicials.
