Well, *actually*, I quite enjoy the mod and thank you for its release here :-)
I agree that my comment is both too brief and too easy to interpret as trolling and complaining, hence you are right to call be out on that.
That being said, I had to download and try out the mod to actually understand what it was doing and what it was not doing. I read the mod's summary here on ModDB, the article "Star Wars Battlefront II Remastered v1.4" and the download's full description and it was still unclear to me.
Adding to the confusion is the fact that we also got Harrison Fog's "Battlefront 2 Remaster Project" making news. Obviously, how other mods are named is utterly out of your control but, like I said, it does not make things easier.
In short, the problem I had is that the information "what this mod actually is" was simply poorly communicated.
Actually, it is pretty much what I wanted for some time, a vanilla-style mod that fixes the Menu, adds working AI Heroes and does not add tons of other maps, skins, blabla... but actually getting to this info required me to install it.
Let's illustrate with two examples: One of the long standing issues with BF2 is the fact that the AI tends to launch with a dropship you have flown into the enemy's hangar. Does you mod fix it? Well, seemingly the answer is "no" from the material accessible to the average user. Another one of these issues is the lack of AI heroes, although both the campaign and the Tatooine Hunt Mode shows that such AI exists in the game. Does your mod fix the issues? "Yes" it does, but that fact is hidden instead of listed or even promoted here on ModDB.

Interface fixes for widescreen, AIhero support, sound fixes. Everything that is important for the players is listed on the first page. don't know what you complain about. That i do not say that it does not add maps/eras? Well i don't say it does. Don't see the need to list everything the mod does NOT.

I recently got a 2560x1080 screen and i noted that i get a visual bug with the HUD. Do you know why this happens only with your mod on ?
I set the "/resolution 2560x1080" property on the shortcut and i get that bug. I hope that i don't bother you with this question but i cannot find a solution anywhere. i'm okay playing with the 1920x1080 resolution but man, i love the Widescreen.

To actually answer your question (or everyone's): the readme.txt is only readable after you installed the mod.
How come when i create games in Multiplayer, there are no AI? How do i fix ths?
well maybe, you disabled your ai in the settings? Nothing this mod affects, since MP is complete apart from the modification to keep it not crashing

Hi - I might have found a little problem: whenever I restart a match, the game crashes to the desktop. Does this happen for you too? Maybe it's just my game o.O
i'm already aware of this bug. I'm about 99,9% sure why this happens but i wasn't able to spend some time on fixing this
thanks for the reply ;) It has something to do with your ingame.lvl, but that's all I was able to deduce lol.
it is the hook lvl actually. This needs to be loaded twice (on the first match start and on the restart again).
This works fine for lvls but scripts that were executed once, won't be run a 2nd time without special syntax. need to find out if this syntax is available for the limit swbf2 lua commands.

no, because you have ai hero support user script. remove it and use the ai hero script that is included in remaster

install the latest v1.5r2, go to your GameData/data/_lvl_pc/ folder delete all gc and user scripts that do not have the number 10.
After installing this mod, I don't have any AIs in a Multiplayer match.

I install this mod then everything looks fine, great. I am going into a singleplayer game and there is ai spawning. After that I create a multiplayer game. I did not change anything in the settings but there is no ai spawning. Then I left the game to take a look in the settings. There I can see that the ai is on. I also switched the maximum ai from 16 to 32 but there is nothing spawning.

I have the same issue, it's after installing 1.5 and the it gets fixed after verifying the game cache - which breaks the remaster.

I don't say this about much, and as old as this game is I don't praise the graphics like I used to given today's standard. But that's hot. So crisp and clean. Clear and nice. Old memories given an updated look. Much needed. And appreciated.

i was trying to load RCM GC when i found out that the button to load scripts in the remaster tab is missing

The script loading system has been changed in order to be faster, more efficient and to allow even more mod IDs at once.

You don't have all the settings, or you don't have settings at all?
Because the screenshots do not show the basic installation. There are further mods and scripts installed that expend the quick settings.
where do i download these extra settings please?
