The Restitution-class Cruiser, manufactured as a collaboration between the Mon Calamari and the Corellian Engineering Corporation, an advanced starship to ring in the new era, free from the threat of the Empire (lol). Built for defense, exploration, and diplomacy, the Restitution-class offers aptitude in various roles. Intended to be a symbol of the New Republic in it's early years, these ships are built with top-of-the-line shielding, armor plating, weapons systems, and four large hangar bays to carry the ships generous fighter/gunship compliment. While well-rounded, a jack-of-all-trades vessel such as this left alone is easy prey for ships designed for war such as Imperial Star Destroyers.
