Started working on characters, the bas was taken "hd models pack". Next, i fix the shoals and various little things. There is a lot of work...
At the moment, all the textures are changed, the brightness, contrast, saturation are aligned etc.., many little things are fixed, but this is only the beginning
very nice mod for a legendary game the only bad thing is that a lot of people start mods like you started but they eventually cancell the mod i love your work it would be greater if you would port the game to the 64 bit xray engine to prevent a lot of crashes and incompatible addons and to change the guns damage and how they feel i mean to make them real and hardcore also it would be nice to add scopes and all those kinda of stuffs keep up the good work stalker i was a modder but i stoped modding.
P.S. a good advice as i said is try to port it in open Xray because its 64bit and easy to deal with some crashes
Thanks for the kind words). Yesterday I talked on a similar topic. I agree, what usually when creating a mod, developers do not pay due attention to optimization and testing, and often release a non-finished product, and since there is often an unfinished and crude version of the mod in places. I’m going the other way, if something doesn’t suit me, it is cut out for the sake of stability and smooth gameplay. At the moment it’s with high graphics settings possible, at 2560x1440 resolution the FPS counter shows a stable 60-100 frames per second, minimal fps - 45-50. And yes, my task when creating the mod is not to stuff the engine with various unoptimized nonsense, but to make a picture on the original engine without significant changes (they are not significant), as well as without reaching third-party programs such as ENB, Rishade and the like. Picture, which can now observe - created on the original engine.
To the account "transfer to another version of the engine": I would not want to do this for the reason that I do not see the need for it (others may think differently, but I don’t). All innovations that I have observed are not so significant for me, to take on this colossal work, moreover, third-party engines are also not optimized in many ways and in some cases show themselves worse (were already tests), as a result: I decided to just switch from version 10005 to 10006 (by the way, my mod supports backward compatibility of engines) , and modify it a bit.
