A 2 pronged modification which improves on the Shaders used by STALKER and the textures related to Parallax Mapping. Over 500 textures manually edited to give maximum realistic parallax mapping with deep crevices, smooth surfaces and subtle changes the entire game looks different!
Here is a few quick tests of the first "custom" parallax map for a vehicle. Still based off the original, but with individually edited sections so that it renders correctly in game. Due to the models used, a lot of Parallax detail must be removed, and only certain areas can have detail and not screw up. This came out really well!
